Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art of reawakening one’s awareness and understanding of the body’s dynamic flow of energy. This physio-philosophy teaches us how to hear our body’s distress signals and through listening and responding, promote healing.

Based in the understanding of the pathways in which source energy flows through the body, JSJ addresses the accumulations or blockages that can manifest. In understanding this awareness one is able to help relieve the primary cause of pain and discomfort in our physical bodies, as well as prevent potential disharmony that can result in more serious health projects.

In JSJ one uses the hands as “jumper cables” to stimulate or reenergize the flow of energy at an energy lock. A practitioner uses their fingertips (instead of needles, such as those used in acupuncture) to apply gentle pressure to restart the flow in that area. This enables the body’s circulatory functions to work properly, restoring harmony to mind, body and spirit.

In addition to being a stand alone wellness practice, Jin Shin Jyutsu is emerging as a complementary therapy offered to patients in conventional medical practices. Such organizations as the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco are offering JSJ as supportive services to oncology patients in cancer therapy as well as those in therapy for other large health projects such as heart transplant. JSJ has provided significant relief to patients suffering from a variety of complaints, notable more restful sleep, less anxiety and pain relief.
